When that day, the day of unification of Korea comes, there will be peace in the Korean Peninsula. Korea is the only country that still is divided in the world. It was divided into North and South since The Korea War in 1950. The Korea War lasted for 3 years so it has been over 60 years till now.

The “When that day comes” song was made for the hope of Korea’s unification. Many South Korean singers sang every line one by one with their voices. Even though they had different voice and different style of music, they sang with one heart and one hope. It didn’t matter because they were hoping the same thing. Like what you can see in the video clip, there are many pictures of the south and north people. When Korea’s president was Kim Dae-Jung he tried many policies to get close to the North. By his efforts, the north started to open there minds and finally the chance came. The North gave the permission to let the separated families meet together. Families that was separated because of the war, all started to requested papers to find their families. The pictures here are the pictures of the families that meet in over 50 years. Brothers and sisters meet after they became grandfathers and grandmothers. Even though over 5 decades have passed, they still had their hearts of love and kindness. That was when their longing was solved for a day. The first sight was tears with joy and happiness. Also the resentment of the history happened all at once.

What can you think after you watched this video clip? And what do you feel about it? Even now the families suffer from the war. People say that time can heal the past, but that is not healing. That is connivance. For the past is already gone, we cannot change it. Then what do you think we can do now? We can change the future. By bring peace in the world. We know about war because people experienced it before. Now we don’t want that to happen again. How about peace then? It is time that we change war into peace. Peace is not a big and heavy thing for people. It is hard when you think that it is hard. We can bring changes to the world to peace by promoting peace. There are many people who have different opinions about unification of Korea but what matters is that there should be peace. To help the people who need help, to give the people who need, and sharing love to the people in the world isn’t a minor step for peace, but it is a big forward to achieve the world without conflicts.
