HWPL has started a global signature campaign against war, said the group in a press statement.
The HWPL Peace Advocacy Committee has held numerous events in April world over including in Europe, Asia and Africa to introduce an online and offline signing campaign for implementation of an international law against any kind of war or aggression.
“Supporting actions for ‘The Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War’ have its beginning all around the world” and the declaration has received the support of '70,000 global citizens from 135 countries in one month', the HWPL said.
There are actions from over 130 countries to support the declaration, which was proclaimed in Republic of Korea on March 14 to bring all wars to an end and achieve peace in the world.
“The opening ceremonies were held all over the Middle East from Palestine to Yemen and Iraq,” the press statement said, adding that 'about 1,810 youths gathered for the signing campaign in Yemen's capital Sanaa, to promote this campaign and peace movement'.
“The HWPL Peace Advocacy Committee would gain 1,200,000 supportive signatures for the declaration due in May. Already 110 countries have joined online campaign until now and it is expected that more and more people from all over the world would join in this peace movement,” it said.
