Do you know the peace group, IPYG?

Do you know IPYG?, an affiliated wing of HWPL with the purpose of protecting the youth of the world from war

I was touched by that there is a real way to achieve peace participating in the World Alliance of Religions for Peace Summit(WARP) in Seoul, Korea

The history of war in Korea was terrible.

We all know the pain of a divided nation and brothers pointing guns at each other's throats.

Who fights in the front line when war breaks out?

That' s the irreplaceable youth who never saw their days to truly blossom

Who then compensates for their lives sacrificed in the line of battle?

Our young men had to protect our lives ourselves.

We knew that peace was something that we had to do with our hands.

IPYG youths are here with a resolution to make peace with our hands

The events that we started out to become one mind, such as the Peace Handbook, the Peace Mural Drawing, and the Peace Walking Contest, brought together more than 4.6 million young people.

We will make real world peace from the start of peace events.

Life is the most precious thing in the world.

For this, we young people began to gather one by one to make peace a reality.

Our young men tried to make a peace law that would make the peace world a reality, and international law was finally completed.

End the war with international law.

Get rid of the conflict caused by religion and give the world of peace to young people.

Teach us peace and let our brothers grow up in the world of peace.

Tomorrow's decision to lead the future without war is our youth.

The answer to peace is our youth!

Chairwoman Kim of the IWPG with participants

“Only when we become one in heart and gather our efforts to urge for peace, we can do so much more than we do separately.” said Ms. Nam Hee Kim, Chairwoman of the IWPG. She underlined the integral role youth and women play in achieving peace. “When we raise active awareness on how crucial the implementation of the Convention on the Cessation of Wars is, this initiative will be unstoppable by any forms of authority or wealth. Let us all become messengers of peace and speak up for the implementation of the Convention in one voice.”

Chairman Mr. Man Hee Lee delivered a closing speech at the Model United Nations (MUN) conference

On 15 November 2015, at the University of Oxford, HWPL Chairman, Mr. Man Hee Lee delivered a closing speech at the Model United Nations (MUN) conference, underling the significant role youth of this generation can play. “If we wish to permanently end all wars and armed conflicts, youth and woman should act as watchmen of each state, overseeing the progress of the International Convention on the Cessation of War to ensure global peace.” This year's Oxford International MUN was the largest and most prestigious conference where key world issues were discussed and participants could listen to illustrious guest speakers from across the globe.

Chairman Lee strongly appealed to the audience and all individuals

Having encountered the harsh realities of war crimes against youth first hand, Chairman Lee strongly appealed to the audience and all individuals - “Even before their precious lives fully blossom and receive proper education, should youth ever be forcibly taken away from their mothers and be trained and used as tools to satisfy the greed of others? We must compensate for the lives lost in the midst of all conflicts by providing access to education, especially regarding various peace initiatives to those who are still forced to carry out non-peaceful activities in the world.

Prior to the events above, Chairman Lee and the HWPL Peace Delegation met with HWPL International Law Peace Committee members and renowned international law scholars to discuss the 2nd draft of the International Convention on the Cessation of War and International Armed Conflicts, the core initiative of HWPL.

Man-Hee Lee, an arbitrator who ended the conflict at Mindanao

Man-Hee Lee, a peace leader of private peace organization, played a big role for ending the conflict at Mindanao. This visit was at the request of Archbishop Antonio Ledesma Cagayan de Oro.

Mindanao is an Island of Philippine where severe religious conflicts took place for over 40 years. Mainly, the fights were between Islam and Catholic. It was so tense that it was not safe for the citizens to live. The streets were full of soldiers and gun shooting every day. However, the religious leaders from Catholic (the former archbishop Fernando R. Capalla of
Catholic representative) and Islam (Esmael G. Mangudadatu of Islam representative and Maguindanao governor of Islam) signed the peace treaty.

The former president of Philippine expressed his gratitude towards Man-Hee Lee representative saying that he has done what the president couldn’t do.

In addition, on January 24th -25th, Man-Hee Lee and emissaries of peace set a peace walk with about 1000 religious leaders and local youth beyond religion and faction. After he Peace Walk, all kinds of religious leaders signed the peace agreement and agreed for ending the war and pursue world peace. This peace agreement was a decisive catalyst to the Philippine government accepting Islamic autonomy of Mindanao.

Man-Hee Lee representative spoke about his aspiration for peace that he will continue the peace activity with all nations and peaceful reunification of Korea.

The Declaration of World Peace

On May 25th, 2013, at Seoul Olympic Park, Man Hee Lee declared World Peace to everyone and announced what we must do in order to achieve peace.
In the beginning, he mentioned that the universe is created by the creator and we are gifted with light, rain, and air and yet people are provoking one another and break wars which take the lives of the youth. It’s a big tragedy that young lives are wasted for the war. Why would the youths have to be the sacrifice for the war? People must not leave this legacy to future generations! He continued that there is no way of compensating the dead lives. Once they’re dead, there is no way to make them live again. Then he declared:

First, the heads of every country should sign an international agreement-a commitment to bring wars to an end.
Second, the youths must be united and pursue peace by agreeing not to fight one another. If young people put effort and pursue peace, it will eventually end all wars.
Third, every person: men, women, and children no matter what position they are, should work for world peace.
Lastly, media should promote a message of peace to the world.

What do you think of the declaration? I think it is our turn to react. What is your reaction? Will you stand there just watch or participate and work as another peace messenger? I want to say, go for it! : )

Youths are the main source to bring an end to the war

Recently, I have been very interested in peace activity. Especially, Man Hee Lee's speech  about the Declaration of World Peace motivated me to do so. Might I think you feel the same  way. Do you? : D From then, I Began to deeply think how youths acerca Could end the war.

Do you remember the Declaration of World Peace from the previous posting? Mr. Man  Hee Lee Said That Should youths be united and Pursue peace by agreeing not to fight one  another. As a youth myself, I feel responsible for Protecting other youths. We all know  That war is still going on in the other side of the globe. When all the youths around the  world get united and agree not to fight for the war, the politicians or the president will  not be able to drive young people in the battlefields. In order to make this in reality, we  need a practical way-joining peace organization and develop developing practical and sustainable  solutions. Thanks to Mr. Lee Man Hee, I have provided an astonishing Such method. However, the  Most Important thing is never stopping peace activity. Even though It Might seem slow in the  beginning, it will spread fast through worldwide someday. Is not this the coolest  thing-bringing peace to the world? How about being in part of it? :)
